Brian Ole Karbolo

Brian is a nurse at the Garissa Referral Hospital.

He is a medical practitioner who values humanity. He has cultivated a name for himself for always going the extra mile to help patients including thinking of innovative ways to help those who live in far-flung areas.

Ole Karbolo is also a specialist in wound care which means he has been able to give specialised medical care to patients in need of urgent attention.

Joshua Kipchumba Chepkwony

Joshua Chepkwony alias CK Joshua is the founder of Kass Media Group, which runs Kass Television and Radio.

CK also owns Jamii Telecommunications, which offers Faiba services. Apart from telecommunications, he also owns Eldoret-based Jamii Millings, a major player in the cereals milling industry.

Joshua Chepkwony launched Kass Media Group in 2005, before going ahead to launch Faiba networks in 2016.

Johnson Sakaja

In the buildup to the 2022 election, current Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja was billed as the next big thing in Kenyan politics.

He was eloquent, had a firm grasp of issues and had the political charm that the electorate easily identified with.

Months down the line, Sakaja assumes the role of the Capital's third Governor, entrusted with the task of ensuring the seamless functioning of the city's intricate machinery.

Widely referred to as the enigma of Kenyan politics, Raila Odinga is the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya and the leader of Azimio la Umoja, the current opposition coalition.

Raila is the son of Kenya's first vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and the party leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Ababu Namwamba

Ababu Namwamba is the current Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports.

He is also an astute politician and a qualified lawyer.

Before becoming the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Namwamba served as the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During his tenure at the helm of the Sports Ministry, Kenya won a joint bid to host the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) alongside Tanzania and Uganda.

Mutahi Kibugu

Coming from a storied family of successful golfers in Kenya, Mutahi Kibugu has kept the family passion alive.

In 2022, his older brother, Njoroge Kibugu, was the only Kenyan who made the cut at the Magical Kenya Open. This year, Mutahi followed suit.

His father Daniel Kagwe was also an amateur golfer in the 2000s

Mutahi emerged at position 139 in the 2019 Kenya Open but qualified as the top junior in Kenya in 2021

Sammy Chemoiwo

Sammy Chemoiwo is a principal at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST)

In May 2023, he received a gold medal in the leadership category for inclusivity.

Additionally, his school was honored with a gold medal for the Sustainable Development Goals Award at the sixth edition of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics.

Eric Gitari

Eric Gitari is a former Executive Director at the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHRC). He is also a lawyer, teacher, researcher and author.

During his tenure at NGLHRC, Gitari championed legal and policy reforms towards equality and full inclusion of sexual and gender minorities in Kenya.

In 2015, the NGO which was headed by Gitari at the time, defended two men who had been arrested for being gay.

Bowen is a Grade 6 student at Techlit Africa - an organisation that imparts digital skills to children in rural primary schools. 

The organisation is owned by Nelly Cheboi - a techpreneur who was feted as CNN's Hero of the Year in 2022. 

Bowen has been recognised for teaching and breaking down code in the Swahili language on TikTok.

Such is his impact that his videos have garnered views ranging between 100,000 to 500,000.
