Zubeidah Kananu

Zubeidah alijiunga na kampuni ya Standard Januari Mwaka 2007. Alipitia mafunzo kwa muda wa miezi mitatu kisha akafanya kazi kwa kandarasi kwa muda wa mwaka mmoja.

Mwaka 2009 aliajiriwa kama mfanyakazi wa kudumu na kuwa ripota wa KTN. Alipandishwa daraja miezi michache baadaye na kuwa ripota mkuu. Mwaka 2012 alipandishwa daraja tena na kuwa mhariri wa masuala ya kisiasa katika meza ya KTN LEO. Yeye pia ni mtayarishi wa taarifa za KTN LEO mbali na kuwa msomaji habari wa taarifa kwa lugha ya Kiswahili.

Yvonne Okwara

Yvonne is a media personality whose body of work runs the gamut from powerful interviews, talk shows to news presentation; with experience in radio production, presentation to television content production, interviewing and news anchoring.

Sharon Momanyi

Sharon Momanyi is a Features and Current Affairs reporter with KTN. A young member of the team, having joined in 2013, Sharon has cemented her ground on features reporting.

Sharon has highlighted stories of marginalized groups and communities: (1) their success stories, such as the “Arts in Silence” story of 2013 which showcased marvelous talents exhibited by Kenyan deaf artists and “Deaf Worship” of 2014, which showed the deaf community’s unique way of conducting worship in their special church.

Saida Swaleh

Saida Swaleh alijiunga na KTN Aprili 2011. Saida ni mahafala wa shahada ya Mawasiliano na Uandishi Habari, chuo kikuu cha Nairobi . Uanahabari ni kazi aliyoisomea kwa hima na sasa amefanikiwa kuwa mwanabari anayebobea haswa katika uandaaji makala.

Saida amepata tuzo nyingi tangu kujiunga na KTN. Anatambulika katika kuangazia maswala ya afya, hasa ya akina mama na watoto.

Nancy Kacungira

Nancy Kacungira joined KTN as a news anchor in December 2013. She began her media career as a radio presenter while still in University, working her way up from intern to Deputy Program Director by the time she received her first class degree. Nancy thereafter earned her Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Leeds, where she graduated with distinction.

In 2010 Nancy co-founded Blu Flamingo; a digital media management company in Uganda that continues to grow online brand presence for several clients.

Najma Ismael

Najma Ismael started out at Iqra FM where she worked as a news anchor and reporter, later on she joined Sound Asia FM. Her big break came in 2006 when she was employed by Radio Africa as a news anchor and reporter for Classic 105 and Kiss 100. Seven years later she got another big break when KTN hired her as a news anchor/reporter a position she is currently holding.

One of her best moments on air was when doing features on ‘KTN Job Center’. She got to change the lives of several youth by giving them a national platform to get employment.

Michael Gitonga

Michael’s career in media started off as an “accident”. The first person to interview him as a radio host told him that radio was not for him. The comment just fueled him to keep trying because he had a passion for it .

He went on to host the breakfast show on Radio 316 (Mike on the mic)which he did for over 10 years. He then joined KTN as co-host of the “Morning Express” with Sophia Wanuna from 6am to 9am Monday to Friday. The transition from radio to TV has been exciting for him.

Mercy Kandie

Mercy Kandie is a senior reporter at Citizen TV having formerly worked at KTN.
