Comedian Eric Omondi took to social media on Saturday, June 15, to mourn his brother Fred Omondi, who tragically passed away in an accident along Kangundo Road in Nairobi.

In a heartfelt tribute, the renowned comedian reminisced about the moments he shared with his late brother, including a song they recorded and filmed together.

The song dubbed Kasuku addresses bad leadership that had plundered the electorate into despair and suffering.

"Go well, brother," captioned Eric Omondi.

In the shared video, the duo could be spotted dancing alongside each other in a desert while clad in white apparel.

Comedian Fred Omondi had boarded a motorcycle which collided with an oncoming vehicle.

However, despite being rushed to the Mama Lucy Hospital for treatment, the comedian succumbed to injuries.

Fred Omondi will be remembered for exuding creativity in the Kenyan comedy industry alongside his brother Eric Omondi who previously featured on the Churchill Show.

His untimely death has shocked Kenyans who have come out to express their empathy for the deceased.

"The creative industry has lost a gem. Fred Omondi brightened our living rooms with his addictive comedy renditions," Former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga commented.

"That he has tragically lost his life in a road accident is heart-rending. I commiserate with his family friends and his fans. May his soul find perfect peace," she added.

Among other prominent figures who also mourned the comedian include Lang'ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o who also shared photos of him with the deceased in past events.

The former Churchill Show comedian had been scheduled to host an event at a longue in Meru this weekend.
