Four companies – two in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kitengela, and along the Meru-Nairobi highway – announced the auctioning of vehicles.
According to a gazette notice dated April 17, 2025, the auctioneers, which include Green Belt Limited, Topworks Garage Services, Integra Storage Yard, and Garam Investment, will auction over 18 vehicles if they remain uncollected.
Garam Investments said that it will dispose of a Matatu Toyota Hiace lying at Delax Motors Limited along Meru–Nairobi Highway through public auction within 30 days from the day of publication.
The Integra Storage Yard will dispose of seven vehicles lying at its yard in Kitengela, along Muigai Road, within 30 days from the day of publication, through public auction and private treaty.
The vehicles include two Isuzu FRR, two Isuzu FVZ, an Isuzu NHR, a Mitsubishi Fuso, and an Isuzu NPR.
"NOTICE is given under the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act (Cap. 38) of the laws of Kenya to the owners of the following motor vehicles to take delivery of their motor vehicles which are currently lying at Integra Storage Yard, Kitengela, along Muigai Road, within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice," it stated.
The Topworks Garage Services have said that if 8 vehicles remain uncollected within 30 minutes, they will be sold through auction or private treaty.
The vehicles, which include a trailer, Nissan March, Toyota Probox, Nissan B14, Toyota Pixis, Nissan Cube, Nissan Note, and Toyota Premio, are at the Topworks Garage Services Limited in Mombasa.
The Green Belt Limited, on the other hand, has noted that they will sell a Subaru Forester and a Toyota Hiace if they remain uncollected from the premises in Nairobi in the next 30 days, through auction or private treaty.
"The owner should collect the said vehicle within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice upon payment of storage charges for the period commencing on the 10th April, 2024, up to the date of collection at the rate of Ksh200 per day and Ksh200 per night in interests and costs of publication of this notice," it stated.
The announcement comes a week after six other companies announced the disposal of over 39 vehicles, motorcycles, and other household assets if they remain uncollected.
The companies, which are located in Nairobi and Kiambu counties, said that they will sell the properties through public auction or private treaty from the day of publication.
The auctioneers, according to a gazette notice dated April 11, include Cobbs Auctioneers, Bemac Auctioneers, Racecourse Auctioneers, Nellions Moving and Relocations Limited, and Platinum Auctioneers.
