Mariners and coastal residents are urged to be cautious as these conditions may pose a risk to marine activities and lightweight structures.

In the Highlands West of the Rift and Lake Victoria Basins, afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are expected in several locations, including Kisumu, Kakamega, and Nakuru. Daytime temperatures in these areas may reach up to 31°C.

The department predicts that the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi, will have cloudy mornings with a chance of light rainfall. Daytime temperatures will range between 26°C and 27°C, with lows of 6°C to 11°C.

Turkana and Samburu will experience sunny weather with occasional showers starting Sunday, with highs rising to 35°C.

In North-eastern Kenya, including Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera, the region will remain sunny and dry throughout the week, with daytime temperatures soaring to 35°C.

According to the department, Machakos, Kitui, and Kajiado can expect cloudy mornings and sunny afternoons. Daytime temperatures in these areas will range between 30°C and 31°C.

In the Coastal Region, which includes Mombasa, Lamu, Kilifi, and Kwale, light showers are expected in the early part of the week, especially in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures will remain between 20°C and 30°C.

The department advises residents to stay warm, particularly in the highland regions where temperatures will drop significantly at night.
