The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) has warned the public over fake job offer letters being circulated online under the agency's name and logo.

In a statement released on November 19, the PPB confirmed that the messages and job offers being shared on social media are not from the board.

The board urged the public to exercise caution when receiving unsolicited job communications.

"The Pharmacy and Poisons Board wishes to warn the public about fraudulent job offer letters circulating online that request personal information or money."

"These messages are not from the Board. Do not share your details or make any payment. Report any suspicious activity immediately to law enforcement," the board stated.

The board also stated in the statement that it never sends job offers through unofficial channels or asks applicants for money.

“We urge the public to exercise caution. Do not share your personal information and do not make any payments to individuals claiming to represent the Pharmacy and Poisons Board,” the agency said in the alert.

However, the board urged anyone who had received such messages to report the matter immediately to the police or via the board's official contacts.

In the flagged post, the scammers claimed to be offering positions such as Account Assistant with a salary of Ksh78,344 per month.

It also indicated that qualified candidates would receive various allowances, such as housing, commuting, airtime, medical cover, loans and vehicle allowances.

Applicants were instructed to report to the board's offices in Nairobi for an aptitude test and asked to bring their academic certificates, identification documents and Chapter Six documents.

The letter contained a fake stamp and signatures, as well as a false reporting date of 31 October 2025.
