An ailing survivor has come out with a harrowing account of how he was abducted by individuals purporting to be police officers.

In an interview shared by activist Hussein Khalid, the survivor recounted how his house was raided by several individuals on Christmas Eve, who hurriedly ustled him away in full glare of his partner and children.

According to the survivor, armed men, identifying themselves as police officers, broke into the family's residence and forced everyone to lie down.

The father of two was handcuffed and dragged half-naked into a waiting white Land Cruiser.

"Strange people busted into my house and ordered my family and me to lie down. At the very same time I was handcuffed, and taken outside and put in a car, which took me to an unknown place," the victim recounted.

His wife and two young children were left traumatised and with no information about his whereabouts for several days before he eventually reappeared.

Worryingly, the victim was abducted amid a crucial requirement for life-sustaining dialysis treatment twice a week. He effectively missed critical medical sessions during his disappearance.

Vocal Africa CEO Hussein Khalid has since led the campaign for his release, highlighting the medical emergency.

"Harrison is a kidney patient. He has already missed his medication. He has missed his dialysis," Khalid stated four days after the abduction.

The victim was allegedly held and tortured at an undisclosed location for nine days before being released on January 2, 2026.

"I was tortured, and I would not wish anyone to go through what I did," he revealed after reuniting with his family.

Khalid called on security agencies to adhere to legal procedures when dealing with suspects, and that if someone has any issue with anyone, they ought to follow the law so that problems like these do not occur.
