Jubilee Leaders from Mombasa Hold Strategy Meeting After Governor Hassan Joho Unveiled Running Mate William Kazungu

Jubilee leaders on Thursday held a strategic meeting in Mombasa County hours after Governor Ali Hassan Joho unveiled his running mate, Prof William Kazungu Kingi.

According to sources, the meeting that brought together Jubilee leaders from the region was meant to strategize on how to counter the National Super Alliance’s (NASA) machinery in the county.

Coast Development Authority director and Jubilee coast mobilizer Ibrahim Khamisi, disclosed that the meeting was aimed at discussing how votes would be guarded during the election.

Khamisi noted that they had been accused of campaigning when President Uhuru Kenyatta was in town but going underground as soon as he leaves.

"Better late than never. We are here now. Let's plan ahead before the official campaign date," he stated.

"We must have a clear route to follow. Our objective must be well defined and crafted. It won't be guess work," Khamisi said.

He reiterated that their opponents had already hit the road running and Jubilee should kickstart theirs because the course was tough.

Khamisi called on other Jubilee officials in the county not to wait for Jubilee’s Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal and Ananiah Mwaboza to join their campaigns in order to do their job.

He instead urged them to take their roles seriously and adjust to counter NASA in the county.
