NASA Leaders to Campaign at the Coast in 2 Groups

National Super Alliance (NASA) principals, who are currently on a vote-hunt mission at the Coast, have divided into two groups as they seek to cover the vast region.

The group on Thursday morning kicked off a series of campaign rallies aimed at wooing the 1.7 registered voters in all the Coastal counties.

One of the camps will be led by NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and will cover various areas of Kilifi county including Mazeras, Rabai and Mariakani.

Accompanied by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi, the leaders will later in the afternoon move their campaigns to Lamu.

On Friday, they will tour some parts of Taita Taveta including Taveta and Voi in an attempt to neutralise the growing support that the Jubilee Party has gained in the area.

Amani National Congress (ANC) chief Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula are leading the other group and will on Thursday campaign in Lamu County.

They will then, on Friday, proceed to Mwatate and Wundayi in Taita Taveta before later joining Odinga's team in Mombasa.

On Saturday, the four principals, together with other NASA leaders, will pitch camp in Makueni County to market the Alliance's agenda as the August General Election fast approaches.

The tour comes a week after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were in the region to launch the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
