Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi Gives Zablon Mukiira Sh100,000 to Campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta

A Meru man has captured the attention of Jubilee leaders after offering to sell all his property in order to fund President Uhuru Kenyatta's campaign.

78-year old Zablon Mukiira has now been offered Sh100,000 to finance the campaign he aims to launch in the region instead of selling his family's property.

Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi decided to extend a helping hand to Mukiira after being impressed by the man's resolve to support Kenyatta's re-election bid.

Murungi, who is vying for the gubernatorial seat, admitted that he had been challenged by Mukiira's move urging other Jubilee leaders to have such commitment.

“I want to support him so that he does not sell his property. I will give him Sh100,000 to facilitate the campaign he is planning to roll out,” he stated.

The Senator divulged to a local daily that Jubilee would launch a major campaign to ensure they secure maximum numbers from the vote-rich region.

Mukiira who hails from Nkabune had vowed to sell all his assets valued at more than Sh10 Million to launch campaigns in the County in order to counter the growing support of the National Super Alliance (NASA).

He divulged that he would sell his only bull at Sh40,000, three sheep at Sh25,000 and a 2-acre prime plot in Meru town valued at over Sh10 Million.
