Kakamega Senatorial candidate Cleophas Malala, Mumias Central Member of County Assembly Suleiman Odanga and Ward Representative aspirant Charles Odanga were on Sunday reportedly attacked by rowdy youth after attending a church service.
The politicians were allegedly attacked by a crowd of young men armed with stones and pangas.
Reports indicate that one of the aspirants Odanga sustained serious cuts in the head after being hit by stones.
Their vehicles were also damaged after being hit by stones from the angry youth.
The leaders from the Amani National Congress were reportedly heading for a campaign rally at the time of the attack.
The attack comes only a few hours after Kisumu Senatorial aspirant Fred Outa was attacked by rowdy youth and his vehicle shot at the burial of former legislator James Miruka Owuor.
The burial turned chaotic after Outa, who is seeking to replace Senator Anyang Nyong'o, was invited by East Wawidhi MCA Moses Ochele to address the mourners.
When Outa stepped on the dais, rowdy youth surged forward booing and heckling him forcing his security to whisk him away.
Hundreds of mourners who had attended the burial were forced to flee for their lives as the bodyguards fired in the air shielding Outa from the group before police lobbed teargas to quell the chaos.
