Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri Threatens to Expose Kiambu Governor William Kabogo's Shady Deals

Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mwangi Kiunjuri on Thursday attacked Kiambu gubernatorial aspirant William Kabogo.

The CS made the move after a series of attacks launched by the Governor targeting President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

Speaking at a meeting in Nanyuki, Kiunjuri threatened to expose what he termed Kabogo's shady business deals that have seen him make millions.

He further claimed that the governor had acquired millions from questionable deals shrouded in mystery and should not be allowed to use his wealth to ascend to power.

The CS stated that Kabogo had contributed little in national assembly discussions and most of his contributions were aimed at protecting his secret deals that the the public may soon know if Kiunjuri makes good his threat. 

Kiunjuri also delved into the death of university student Mercy Keino in which the governor was linked.

"He should be reminded that he spent time attending to inquests to absolve himself on mysterious deaths that had occurred on highways,” he said.

Kabogo was cleared in a court of law after an inquest was launched.

Speaking at a local TV show recently, the governor maintained that he operates legitimate businesses with interest in supermarket supplies and real estate.

The influential businessman fell out with the Jubilee party leaders after the party nominations that he termed shambolic and opted to defend his seat as an independent candidate
