Deputy President William Ruto Asks Kwale Residents to Cane NASA Running mate Kalonzo Musyoka

Deputy President William Ruto has encouraged members of the public to cane National Super Alliance (NASA) running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.

Speaking during a rally in Kwale County on Thursday, DP Ruto told the crowd that Mr Musyoka deserved to be caned after dismissing the development projects initiated by the Jubilee administration.

Ruto made reference to a 2014 incident in Kinango, Kwale, where a man walked up to NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga with a stick and caned him in public.

The DP went on to defend the actions of the said man saying that he took the drastic action after realising that the Opposition had nothing to offer the people of Kwale.

He added that claims by NASA that a dry port in Naivasha would kill jobs at the port of Mombasa were due to ignorance.

The two leaders have been locked in a fierce war of words over the past week after the Wiper party leader exposed details of a secret meeting held in 2012 where the Jubilee team had wanted to incorporate him in the presidential ticket.
