President Uhuru Kenyatta, accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto made their first visit to the family of the late Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery after his death.
Others in the government team were National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, Uasin-Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji and other top officials
The President and his delegation received a warm welcome from Gen. Nkaissery's wife, Hellen Nkaissery, and other family members afterwhich they held a closed door session.
Photos of the President's moment with the family showed a strong Mrs Nkaissery who was happy to receive the Head of State.

Mrs Hellen Nkaissery, through family spokesman Saitoti Ole Maika, also announced that she regretted what happened at her home on Sunday when the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders were sent away.

She extended an olive branch to the leaders inviting them to attend the funeral of the late CS on Saturday.
