North Rift Leaders Dump Jubilee, Vow to Support NASA Flag bearer Raila Odinga

A section of both sitting and former Members of Parliament in the North Rift region have declared their support for National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Odinga saying NASA's manifesto directly touches on issues that affect them.

The leaders, including former Deputy President William Ruto's close ally David Koech said they would intensify NASA campaigns in the region.

They vowed to change the political narrative in the region as they identified more with NASA's manifesto.

"It is only in the agenda of NASA manifesto that challenges facing farmers in the North Rift and other issues affecting ordinary Kenyans will be addressed.

"Our opponents in Jubilee Party have dismissed this manifesto yet it comes with solutions to problems faced by citizens," said Koech who is also former Mosop MP.

He urged residents to vote for Raila as he would transform the economy.

"The official launch of the NASA presidential caravan will market the coalition's manifesto...we urge residents to embrace change and vote for Raila," Koech stated.

The leaders went ahead to state that they would ensure Odinga gets maximum votes in the North Rift, which is primarily a Jubilee Party stronghold.

Those in attendance included Chesumei MP Elijah Lagat, former Kenyan Ambassador to Australia and MP for Emgwen Stephen Tarus, former Cabinet Minister John Cheruiyot (Aldai), former MPs Joseph Misoi (Eldoret South) and David Sudi among others.
