President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday gave a Sh1.6 Million vehicle to Kilifi St Thomas Anglican Church of Kenya Bishop Lawrence Dena.
President Kenyatta had promised to give Bishop Dena a vehicle when he visited the church about two weeks ago on July 17.
The brand new Toyota TX was handed over to the Church by Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro.
After receiving the gift, the Bishop went ahead to pray for the Head of State’s victory on August 8.
The Man of God also prayed for Mr Mung’aro and Kilifi North MP candidate Esther Kache's to win in the upcoming polls.
Mung’aro, who is vying for the Kilifi gubernatorial seat on a Jubilee Party ticket, called for peace during elections and condemned the attack on Deputy President William Ruto’s home on Saturday.
"We pray for peace in the nation. We do not want to witness an incident such as the one at the Deputy President’s home,” Mung’aro expressed.
President Kenyatta and DP Ruto toured the Coastal region a week ago where they campaigned in Lamu, Tana River and Kilifi Counties.
