National Super Alliance (NASA) Flag bearer Raila Odinga has alleged that slain IEBC ICT Manager Chris Msando was assassinated by the Jubilee government.
The Opposition Chief made the claims during an interview with Ugandan TV station NBS.
"Mr Chris Msando was assassinated by the government. The government should have accepted the offer by the US government and the UK government to use FBI and Scotland Yard during investigations into Msando's murder," Odinga stated.
“You cannot carry investigations when you are the prime suspect.”
The ODM Leader's allegations come a week after other NASA leaders insinuated that the Jubilee government was behind the murder of Msando.
Senators Moses Wetangula (Bungoma) and James Orengo (Siaya), while addressing a rally last week, cautioned that senior State officials were dying under the Government's watch and noted that this would end after NASA forms the next government.
"They will kill the few individuals but they will not kill all Kenyans. We are ready and confident that they will be sent home,” The Standard quoted Wetangula.
Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka reiterated Senator Wetangula's claims stating that the ICT manager's murder was aimed at creating an avenue for the rigging of the General Election.
Mr Msando was found dead at the City Mortuary after missing for three days.
Post-mortem results revealed that the IEBC manager was tortured before being strangled to death.
Meanwhile, police are still probing the incident to find out who was behind the mysterious killing.
