Three Coast region candidates from the National Super Alliance (NASA) affiliate parties have accepted defeat as the IEBC preliminary results continue to stream in.
In separate incidents, Mombasa Woman Representative candidate Zamzam Mohamed, Senator hopeful Jabess Oduor, Jomvu parliamentary hopeful Mathias Shipeta - all from the Wiper party - and Nominated Senator Emma Mbura of Maendeleo Chap Chap Party have conceded defeat.
"Hey guys, thank you for your kind support. It wasn’t our portion for God’s time is the best time. God bless you abundantly. Congratulations sister Asha Mohammed Hussein," Zamzam wrote on social media at 5am on Wednesday.
Starehe parliamentary hopeful, Boniface Mwangi earlier on accepted defeat and wished the leading Jubilee candidate, Charles Njagua Kanyi, all the best.
