DP William Ruto Warns MPs-elect from Murang'a and Rift Valley

Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday invited a section of newly-elected legislators to his Karen office in Nairobi to alert them on issues of service delivery.

DP Ruto warned the leaders from Murang'a and Rift Valley that they would lose the people's confidence if they failed to deliver on their promises.

Those in attendance were Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Murang'a Senator-elect Irungu Kang'ata, Kigumo MP Ruth Mwaniki, , Kericho Senator-elect Aaron Cheruiyot and Uasin Gishu Senator-elect Margaret Kamar.

Congratulating the legislators for their victory in the elections, Mr Ruto urged them to work together to implement the Jubilee development agenda.

Ruto emphasised that the politicians ought to forget their political differences and dedicate themselves to serving the people of Kenya.

He reiterated that the ruling party remained commited to service delivery that will create jobs for Kenyans.

The DP conveyed that he would hold similar meetings with leaders across the country to emphasise on the need to implement Jubilee's agenda.
