Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and President Uhuru Kenyatta to Attend ASK Show in Mombasa

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho will on Friday host President Uhuru Kenyatta in his Coastal Resort city for a six-day event.

President Kenyatta will be attending the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Mombasa International Show (MIS), which begins on Wednesday.

Despite their stark political differences, the two will share a podium as exhibitioners display various products for members of the public.

The Governor has twice been barred from attending presidential functions in incidences that would later degenerate into dramatic political showdowns.

It remains to be seen whether Friday's event will be a departure from the previous occasions.

The President has been on a vacation in the wild as the Supreme Court heard a case challenging his re-election in the 2017 General Election.
