Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria Issues Order to IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has issued a warning to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati telling him to include Jubilee Party in his meetings.

Kuria claimed that Chebukati's meeting with members of the National Super Alliance (NASA) on Thursday was fishy demanding both factions to be included.

"Dear Wafula Chebukati. Why are you meeting NASA today to the exclusion of Jubilee?... Either you meet both parties or neither party. Tunaelewana (Are we together)?," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Chebukati was set to meet both Jubilee and NASA politicians in a bid to iron out issues raised by both sides regarding the upcoming election.

The Commission was also expected to clarify the situation regarding the team he appointed to run the October election.

Kuria has been trending on social media following some remarks he made about opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, however, distanced himself from the MP's statements saying his sentiments did not represent those of the party.

"Moses Kuria is out of order and I will not accept this kind of language. If it is true it is from his official Facebook page, then I will take it up with him because it is unacceptable. Simple, and it cannot be Jubilee policy.

"We cannot be put on the spot by mistakes of a few elements in the party who are preaching the wrong thing for this country,” he said on NTV‘s Sidebar.
