Jubilee Appoints 290 Leaders in New Strategy to Beat Raila

President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed 290 support staff to assist Jubilee politicians leading his presidential campaigns in the constituencies.

Revealing the plans, Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday stated that the 290 additional staff will help leaders in preparing for elections at the constituency level as well as in recruiting agents for all polling stations.

The DP assured that the full list of Jubilee party polling station agents will be released by the end of the week.

The Jubilee team further revealed that Governors, Senators and MPs elected on a Jubilee party ticket will play a leading role in campaigning for the President so that he can win with an even bigger majority in the fresh elections slated for October 26.

President Kenyatta chaired a meeting with the leaders at State House on Tuesday where he reminded the leaders that they are his "boots on the ground".

The DP later briefed the media on the deliberations saying that the party was preparing to ensure that it has agents in all polling stations and its leaders are well acquainted with all election rules to prevent mischief.

"We are having a meeting with all our leaders to appraise ourselves on election management. We want to make sure the mischief and loopholes that were used in the nullification of a fairly won election do not happen again," DP Ruto stated.
