The Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday concurred with some of the demands issued by the National Super Alliance (NASA) to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking to journalists, he stated that he does not have a problem if the Chebukati-led team responds to the Opposition's demands by firing any IEBC official.
“If the election board chose to discuss with our competitors with the intention of firing a staff member or changing a supplier ... so long as the elections are there, we will participate,” he was quoted by Reuters.
He, however, indicated that the former Prime Minister intends to spark chaos in the country through the anti-IEBC protests to force the formation of a coalition government.

“It is a manufactured situation to achieve a political end and that is what we must resist.
“They wanted a repeat election; they have a repeat election. They don’t want to participate. What do they want?” he questioned.
last week, NASA leader Raila Odinga withdrew from the repeat election claiming that the independent body had failed to meet the Opposition's demands.
Among the demands issued by the Alliance is the removal of senior officials in the IEBC including CEO Ezra Chiloba whom they accuse of bungling the August elections.
The Odinga-led team is also against the involvement of French firm company IDEMIA (formerly OT Morpho) and Dubai-based Al Ghurair printing company.

DP Ruto further dared the NASA leader to cancel his presidential bid and challenge him in the 2022 General Election.
