Opposition leader Raila Odinga has announced details of the changes that have been instituted within the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition.
Mr Odinga has clarified that the political coalition now has three branches: the parliamentary wing made up of the Members of National Assembly and Woman Representatives from NASA-affiliate parties, the Senate wing made up of the Senators elected from the coalition and the latest addition, the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
According to the NASA leader, NRM will be concerned mainly with co-ordinating the Opposition's acts of civil disobedience.
"We have our alliance, NASA, and it has three branches...we are creating another wing which is the resistance movement.

"This is basically going to be involved in civil disobedience. It is a civil resistance, not an armed resistance, so we are going to use all the legal and constitutional means to put pressure on this government to do what we want them to do," Mr Odinga explained during an interview with CNN.
The ODM party leader insisted that NASA would not engage in any confrontational mechanisms to force President Uhuru Kenyatta out of power.

When asked whether the back-and-forth witnessed in Kenyan politics was a scheme of toying around with the Kenyan people, Mr Odinga insisted that he is the voice of the people.
"The ordinary Kenyans are actually very tired of this regime. A regime that is discriminating against them based on their ethnicity, practising corruption, driving the cost of living high and plagued with unemployment...these are the reasons why Kenyans are tired and want change.
"We are championing the cause of the people," he asserted.
The NASA leader also conveyed that the only item his team is ready to dialogue on is how a proper election can be held within the next 90 days.
