Jubilee Politician Reveals How Hassan Omar Reduced President Uhuru Kenyatta's Votes in Mombasa

Former Kisauni MP Anania Mwamboza has accused former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar and Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala of reducing President Uhuru Kenyatta’s votes in Mombasa.

Mwaboza stated that Balala and Omar did not work hard enough to bring the desired numbers.

The former MP stated that the two did not make inroads for President Kenyatta thus denying Jubilee a chance of getting 150,000 votes in Mombasa.

Mwaboza claimed that he delivered 32000 votes, while Mombasa gubernatorial loser Suleiman Shabal and Jomvu Parliamentary loser Karisa Nzai delivered 25000 and 21000 votes respectively.

"Omar and Balala were hyped for nothing. They want to ride on Suleiman Shahbal, Karisa Nzai and my sweat," Mwaboza stated.

"We mistakenly thought they will top up the August numbers to about 150,000 votes but we didn't see them," he added.

President Kenyatta garnered over 78,000 votes in Mombasa in the October election down from the 99,190 votes he had garnered in August.

In September, Jubilee appointed Balala to lead presidential campaigns at the coast.

The decision was made after a section of the delegates rejected Shahbal as the coast campaign coordinator for Jubilee at the coast.

Later Omar ditched the National Super Alliance (NASA) stating that the leadership was not supportive of his candidature and pledged to support Kenyatta in his re-election.
