EXCLUSIVE: Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula Reveals NASA’s Plan For 2022

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has revealed the National Super Alliance (NASA) plans to occupy the highest office in the land in 2022.

In an exclusive interview with Kenyans.co.ke, Mr Wetangula revealed that the NASA coalition had an agreement on who would succeed Raila Odinga after his term is over.

Senator Wetangula further dismissed calls by Western leaders to abandon the National Super Alliance (NASA) in order to have a successful political career.

Wetangula referred to their calls as merely noisy talks from disloyal people whose were only interested in backing a particular candidate for money.

The Senator categorically refuted any possibility of joining Jubilee and termed it as a betrayal to the values that have kept him relevant since joining politics in 1992.

He noted that he was not an opportunist adding that he could not betray the people who voted for him.

“We have plans not just for 2017 but also for the year 2022, We have a lot of options as NASA. Our plans are not only for 2017 but also for 2022," Wetangula stated.

“Our agreement is that everyone gets a shot at the presidency for one-term, after Raila Odinga, we shall sit down and discuss who to back in 2022,” he added.

Earlier on, former Kandunyi MP Alfred Khang’ati had warned the NASA co-principal that opposition leader Raila Odinga would eventually dump him.

Mr Khang’ati stated that Mr Odinga was a cunning and selfish politician who only uses leaders to get their votes but will never give room for them to vie for the presidency.
