Ababu Namwamba Tweets on Blackmailing Jubilee
Former Budalangi Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba has responded to claims that he threatened to expose the tactics Jubilee used in the elections if he is not appointed as a cabinet secretary.
Writing a scathing tweet on Tuesday evening, the Jubilee point man accused members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) of spreading propaganda against him.
He cited an article headline which read: 'I will spill the beans on repeat polls if not appointed CS- Western Jubilee Defector threatens Jubilee."
He took to his twitter to respond the allegations condemning National Super Alliance (NASA) bloggers who were out to taint his reputation.
"Hehehe! When you wake from hallucinations of some imaginary safari to a non-existent utopian "Canaan", your groggy mind can only create this kind of desperate cheap drivel. But no amount of slanderous rubbish will deter us from opposing the reckless, clueless NRM militia. Shindwe!" he wrote on Tuesday evening.
Earlier in the month, Lugari MP Ayub Savula revealed that the former MP was conducting suspicious activities inside the Jubilee Party.
Savula stated that Mr Namwamba was using his organization, the Professional Council of Kenya, to beg for jobs from Jubilee.
Savula further accused Namwamba of purporting to speak on behalf of the Luhya community with an aim of begging for a government job.
He noted that Namwamba lost his seat after he shifted his allegiance to President Uhuru Kenyatta because he was originally a creation of NASA leader Raila Odinga.
"What is this amorphous council? Who are these professionals? What are their goals? We're professionals but we aren’t aware of the group," Savula who was referring to the Professional Council of Kenya stated.
