Members of the National Super Alliance (NASA) legal team were on Monday morning blocked from accessing the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Offices where the coalition's strategist David Ndii is reportedly being detained.
The lawyers led by Siaya Senator James Orengo attempted to persuade the officers to allow them in but the attempts were futile.
Dr Ndii was arrested on Sunday night at Diani in Kwale County with reports indicating that he was transported to Nairobi for questioning.

According to NASA, Dr Ndii's arrest is aimed at intimidating the opposition.
The move to arrest the vocal strategist comes just two days after he was appointed to a committee overseeing the operations of the People's assembly.
On Friday, NASA announced a list of seven people who would coordinate the activities of the People's Assembly.
Speaking at Okoa Kenya offices, former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale stated that the coalition had set up an organizing committee whose duties would be to facilitate and guide the activities of counties that have so far passed the NASA-sponsored People's Assembly motion.
Other members of the committee include; Judy Sijeni, Hamid Kibwana, Mutaha Kangu, Dr Oduor Ongwen, Koitalet Ole Kina and Peter Mathuki.
