Duale Accused of Receiving Sh11.5 Million to block NASA CEO's bid to EALA

National Super Alliance (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya accused House Majority Leader Aden Duale of giving Members of Parliament Sh11.5 million to block his bid to EALA.

On a post on Saturday, Magaya alleged that Mr Duale was attempting to dim his star but he would not succeed.

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you. To Mr. Duale, the Ksh11.5m marshaled to bump me off will not dim my star,” the tweet read in part.

He further assured the House Majority Leader that he would be back in the August House to face it off with him.

“Take this to the bank, I will be back soon, facing you off in the parlor of parliament,” Magaya stated.

“You can buy Members of parliament, but you can't buy ordinary voters,” he added.

Magaya was roundly rejected by legislators in his bid to represent Kenya at the East African Legislative Assembly (Eala) despite intense lobbying.

The Thursday loss was allegedly attributed to Magaya’s combative nature, sibling rivalry within NASA and the history of MPs rallying behind one of their own.

A majority of MPs cited Mr Magaya’s forceful way of conducting politics and coalition affairs for his loss.

Jubilee MPs stated they had rather vote for Raila Odinga’s elder brother Oburu Odinga than the young lawyer who was the face of NASA’s rebellion against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
