Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho was on Thursday trolled on social media for allegedly appointing his house help as a nominated Member of the County Assembly (MCA).
This was after controversial political commentator and blogger Robert Alai tweeted the information on Ms Fatma Kushe's appointment.
Ms Kushe is the legislator claimed to have once served as the governor's house help.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mr Richard Chacha, Joho's communications director, refuted the allegations that Ms Kushe was the governor's employee.

"There is no house help nominated to the county assembly," Mr Chacha affirmed.
He added that like other nominated MCAs, Ms Kushe was appointed validly.
"The Governor was trying to accomplish the two-thirds gender rule in his appointment since most MCAs are men," Chacha noted.
In an interview with Kenyans.co.ke, Ms Kushe also denied the allegations.
