How Raila Changed My Life - Lady From Zanzibar Narrates [VIDEO]

Sasha Seraphine Mbote became famous in Kenya after she posted photos with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on her Facebook page while in Zanzibar.

The photos generated a lot of attention and all manner of comments made towards her with others asking her to pull them down.

Despite the negative comments, the photos seemed to have worked in her favour and are the reason why her business has boomed.

Speaking to Nas Daily, she reveals how much her life has changed since then, including having over 20,000 new followers on her Facebook page and huge business deals for her firm.

Sasha, who is the Director of Maridadi, a travel company based in Zanzibar, narrates in a video produced by the blog how being a victim of cyberbullying earned her fame.

In the video, she also admits that she received death threats from Kenyans for posting the pictures.

Ms Mbote met the NASA leader during his visit to Park Hyatta stunning hotel located in the heart of Zanzibar.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke after the photos went viral, Ms Mbote divulged that she was struck by Mr Odinga's humility as she took the opportunity to take some selfies.

She is grateful that the popularity has brought more income to her business as she took the opportunity posting the website of the hotel on her social media platforms.

Despite people claiming that it was a cheap publicity stunt to market her business, she has since made the best out of it.

Mbote discloses that she has since landed huge deals from gaining "fame by mistake."
