Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Sunday took offence over Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja's move to rescue Embakasi East MP Babu Owino from police cells.
Sakaja made a personal undertaking of Sh104,000 and a surety to produce the legislator in court on Monday, January 22 at 8 am after which the police released the vocal MP.
After it emerged that Sakaja had secured the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP's release, Moses Kuria expressed that he was disappointed his Jubilee counterpart had never visited him in prison.

"I look forward to the day my friend Sen Johnson Sakaja will come to visit me in the cell. Do not even secure my release. Just bring me a bowl of porridge. Sulking is human, isn't it? After all, we have worked together for over a decade now," he wrote on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Senator Sakaja on Sunday afternoon rescued Babu from the police cells. Speaking after the release, the former Nominated MP stated: “No political leader should be arrested unlawfully because of his political party be it NASA or Jubilee."
The Senator condemned the way the MP was arrested and noted that the police should have invited the former student leader for questioning.
The former student leader on his part linked his arrest to an election petition challenging his win in court.
He accused the petitioner of conniving with his accuser to portray him as a violent man.
Sakaja and a section of Members of Parliament had visited Babu at the Parklands Police station where he was being detained and vowed not to leave until he is released.
“This is a petty offense. I don’t agree with it and I will stand for him. I am staying here until Babu is released,” he stated.
