Miguna Miguna Launches Attack on Khalwale

Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna on Sunday attacked former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale over his recent calls for dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Chief Raila Odinga.

In a tweet, the former Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant questioned why the ex-Senator had shifted his focus from swearing-in to calling for dialogue.

The vocal politician noted that Dr Khalwale had been with them when the calls for the inauguration of Odinga commenced and questioned if his silence on the matter could be due to ugali.

Miguna made the remarks after Khalwale announced that he would favor the dialogue option as compared to the inauguration one.

On Sunday, the Ford-Kenya Deputy Party leader was quoted by the Nation explaining that the issue of dialogue with Jubilee Party and the swearing in of Odinga had not been unanimously agreed upon.

“My position is that dialogue is better than the swearing-in option

"The Jubilee administration has not said ‘no’ to dialogue, but rather there are those among us who are saying they do not want dialogue,” he explained.

He also predicted that the National Super Alliance (NASA) will disengage before the 2022 General election.

"First and foremost, the history of political coalitions in our country is such that they keep reinventing themselves by joining new partnerships ahead of the next polls.

"Similarly, I do not see the possibility of NASA participating in the 2022 elections in its current formation and with the same name,” he stated.
