NASA CEO Leaks 3 Details of Raila's Swearing-in

National Super Alliance (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya on Thursday disclosed three details on the planned swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the People's president.

In an exclusive interview with Citizen Digital, Mr Magaya stated that the opposition leader would take the oath of office administered by a qualified judge.

"Tuesday will be a historic day that will end bad governance in this country. I can guarantee you that it will be a smooth process.

"Raila Odinga’s oath of office will be administered by a qualified judge," he was quoted by the news site.

Mr Magaya declined to reveal the name of the judge assuring that the inauguration would take place with Kenyans invited to observe the event.

He further revealed that the swearing-in ceremony would be held at Uhuru Park on Tuesday despite an order from the Nairobi County Government ordering the closure of the park for renovations.

"The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Uhuru Park on Tuesday, January 30 with the “oath of office” and “oath of execution of duties” set to be administered at 10 am," he stated.

The NASA CEO also conveyed that they were expecting dignitaries to the occasion.

"We are finalizing plans for the inauguration. We are expecting a number of dignitaries who have already confirmed their attendance. The ones who will not be able to attend the event have sent their congratulatory messages,” he told Citizen Digital.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, who recently came up with an affidavit to be signed by all NASA legislators recognizing Odinga as the duly-elected President, explained how the document would be put to use.
