What Really Happened That Wiper had to Miss Swearing-in Ceremony

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana revealed that Raila Odinga went to Uhuru Park alone leaving the other leaders behind, a move orchestrated by ODM.

In an interview with a local radio station, Professor Kivutha narrated how Odinga was to meet the other NASA Principals but instead proceeded to the swearing-in ceremony.

Kivutha stated that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka was to meet the NASA leader but when he got to the venue, only Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were present.

He further maintained that when Odinga was contacted, they were informed that he had already proceeded to Uhuru Park where the ceremony was scheduled to happen.

"When they contacted Raila, he told them he would not make it and would instead proceed to Uhuru Park for the swearing-in," Kivutha stated.

Kivutha also blamed ODM for what he termed as a hijacking of the swearing-in ceremony and leaving other organisers in the dark.

He also accused the Orange party of failing to respect other parties within NASA and claimed that members of the inauguration's organising committee were not briefed on the happenings.

"We are part of the NASA coalition but most of the time we were not briefed on meetings and progress," Professor Kivutha stated.

The Wiper Chair noted that ODM ought to respect other parties and added that the co-principals were willing to iron out their differences.

"There are issues that need to be looked into but I want to assume that the Kamba nation and NASA are intact. All we ask for is respect from our other partner (ODM)," he stated.
