How Uhuru and Margaret Kenyatta Spent Valentine's Day [PHOTOS]

Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love and is held annually on February 14th.

Kenyans celebrated the day in various ways with some wearing red, sending messages to their loved ones and buying gifts and cards for their special ones as well.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta were quite busy on this special day.

It was business as usual for the Head of State who spent the day at StateHouse where he met Senators from the Jubilee Party.

He emphasized the need for Senators to play their oversight role effectively to ensure devolution succeeded in transforming the lives of Kenyans.

He affirmed that the success of his Big Four agenda - (food security, affordable housing, manufacturing and affordable Healthcare for all) depended on effective drafting and passage of relevant legislation.

Similarly, on Tuesday, he chaired the first Jubilee Party Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting where he cited the Energy Bill, Land Index Bill, Roads Bill and Cyber Crime Bill as some of the legislation that should be given priority.

“We need to pass laws that will enable us to achieve the agenda that will transform the lives of Kenyans. There is no time. We have to maximize the resources at our disposal.

“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that we deliver on the pledges we made to Kenyans in line with our party manifesto,” he told the legislators.
