Kalonzo's Political Career Weakened - Wiper MP

Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna has blamed the unity pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga stating that it has weakened Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's political career.

Speaking on Sunday the lawmaker maintained that Raila made a selfish move and accused the Opposition leader of being a political cheat.

"Raila's meeting with Uhuru on Friday was a selfish political game whose main agenda is to finish Kalonzo politically," Nguna stated.

Nguna argued that the opposition leader teamed up with Uhuru since he had realised that the Wiper party leader is a threat to him in the 2022 general elections.

"We supported Raila with all we had. Countless people died with others vowing that if their blood is what will make Raila win, let it be," Nguna stated.

"We have witnessed lots of bloodshed in most parts of the country simply because of our loyalty towards him. He failed us and we are not happy about it," he added.

Nguna noted that their supporters did not vote in October last year after the court nullified Uhuru's win on August 8 following a directive by the NASA leader and castigated him for failing to consult Kalonzo.

The MP said they even boycotted some products as advised by the NASA leader out of the respect for his word.

However, on Saturday Kalonzo stated that he is not worried by the meeting between Raila and President Uhuru.

Kalonzo maintained that his heart was at peace since he had been calling for dialogue between NASA and Jubilee.
