Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino on Wednesday pleaded with President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga to redeem his political career.
While lauding the two leaders' new agreement, the legislator urged them to come together for dialogue to resolve his recent run-ins with the authorities.
"For Babu Owino's cases to be dropped, then President Uhuru Kenyatta and His Excellency Raila Odinga must dialogue.
"For the will of the Embakasi East residents to be recognised and respected then President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga must continue to dialogue," Babu declared in Parliament.

He spoke as he endorsed a motion by the Opposition to commend the pact between the President and the former Prime Minister struck on March 9.
The Embakasi East legislator went on to give a biblical example to illustrate the turmoil he has experienced due to numerous arrests.
"The Bible story of Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego tells us that these three gentlemen were put in a furnace to burn to death but they were put in the furnace because they did not obey the king then. These three boys came out of the furnace stronger.
"I want to tell the President, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta that he has put this boy Babu Owino in the furnace and he has become strong, I don't want to be stronger than this. Let him remove me from the fire," Babu urged.
The motion Babu rose up to support sailed through after Minority Leader John Mbadi and Majority Leader Aden Duale endorsed it.
Parliament will now support and commit to participate in the Uhuru-Raila pact dubbed "Building Bridges to a new Kenyan Nation".
