Scientists discover new body organ

In the medical field, scientists discovered a new organ in the body which they termed as the 'interstitium'.

"These compartments are found beneath the skin, as well as lining the gut, lungs, blood vessels and muscles, and join together to form a network supported by a mesh of strong, flexible proteins," reads part of the report published in the journal of Scientific Reports.

The interstitium act as  a shock absorber for vital tissues and scientists hope they can explain why some cancers spread quickly.
