Miguna Miguna Responds to CS Fred Matiangi's Statement in Parliament

Self-styled National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna on Tuesday dismissed statements given by Interior CS Fred Matiang'i to the National Security and Administration Parliamentary Committee on his dramatic re-deportation as 'transparent rubbish and falsehoods'.

Miguna outlined issues he believes Matiang'i misrepresented, while describing the CS as a convicted criminal in reference to his recent sentencing by Justice George Odunga.

"Mr. Convicted CRIMINAL @FredMatiangi, if I acquired my Kenyan passport fraudulently, charge me. If I violated any immigration law, rule or procedure, charge me. If I uttered any falsehoods in court, charge me with perjury. You can't. Because you're lying," Miguna tweeted.

Matiang'i had told the committee that Miguna acquired his identification card fraudulently in 2009.

He further stated that there was enough evidence to prove that he did not acquire the document in line with the proper procedures.

Matiang'i also asserted that Miguna had failed to comply with immigration laws when he refused to have his Canadian passport stamped, further claiming that Miguna and his lawyers lied about the government taking it from him.

"Miguna and his lawyers claim we confiscated his passport. We did not. You have seen how he is now bragging in Canada that he refused to hand over his Canadian passport," he stated.

The lawyer vowed that Matiang'i would pay for his actions.

"Mr. @FredMatiangi, you are a disgrace to the human race and the people of Kenya. You are a CONVICTED CRIMINAL who was sentenced by Justice Odunga less than two weeks ago. Your lies are transparent rubbish. You will pay for BRUTALISING ME," he tweeted.

A member of his legal team, Nelson Havi, had earlier told Kenyans.co.ke that they would sue the government for attempted murder if toxicology tests proved Miguna was indeed sedated or poisoned.
