Details of former President Daniel Moi's meeting with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga have emerged.
According to a report by the Standard, the Opposition leader's visit to the former Head of State at his Kabarak home was aimed at briefing Moi on his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Moi is stated to have emphasised to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)) leader that the unity of the country is dear to him and they should do everything to guard it.
He also applauded Odinga for putting his differences with the Jubilee administration behind him for the sake of uniting the country and moving it out of the prolonged crisis.

Mzee Moi is further noted to have recalled with nostalgia the Nyayo philosophy of peace, love, and unity that steered his presidency.
He then commended the two leaders for overcoming personal differences for the sake of bringing the country together.
On his part, Mr Odinga is claimed to have revisited the divisions that hurt the country following the two highly contested presidential elections last year.
Additionally, sources present at the meeting report that the NASA principal also recounted to Moi the bitter feud that followed the Supreme Court ruling that upheld President Uhuru's victory in the repeat vote, how it created a rift among the people and the risk of having the counties that supported him becoming ungovernable.
Raila divulged to Mzee Moi that he opted to join forces with Uhuru for the sake of national unity.
The discussions between the two leaders are claimed to have touched on the country's political journey to the 2022 polls.
According to an official statement issued by the former president's team highlighted that Raila held a two-hour closed-door meeting with the former president and his son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
"In the meeting, the leaders discussed issues touching on the state of the nation, key among them unity," read part of the statement.
