Mabior Garang's Nairobi Home Raided by Armed Thugs

Police are looking for domestic workers who fled from the Nairobi home of South Sudan's Minister for Water and Irrigation Mabior Garang, after a robbery incident.

Reports indicate that Garang's house in Kilimani area was raided this week and the thugs made away with around Ksh 2.8 million (in dollars).

Four men, armed with a pistol, are said to have entered the house and tied the Minister's brother and brother before locking them in one of the rooms.

Garang's relative reported the incident at Kilimani Police Station, further divulging that seven golden necklaces, three sets of golden bungles, 12 golden rings, three bracelets, four gold watches and ten mobile phones were also missing.

It is alleged that the house-helps fled with the attackers and are still at large.

Kilimani OCPD Michael Muchiri confirmed that investigations were underway to nab the criminals together with their accomplices.

"The women left with the attackers and we suspect they knew something on the attack. Let them surrender," stated Muchiri, who termed the operation an inside job.

Garang is the son of slain Sudan politician John Garang who died in 2005.

His father is famous for having formed the ‘Sudan People's Liberation Army’, an association of soldiers who fought for more than twenty years in the second ‘Sudanese Civil War’ of independence.

The leader envisioned a united Sudan where people of all religion will be involved in the administration and co-habit peacefully.

After his death, Garang's family relocated to Kenya and has been enjoying state protection since then.
