Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Saturday exposed a letter purporting to link him to ongoing scandals in the country.
The letter which bears the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) letterhead is addressed to Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua on high profile cases of corruption.
Murkomen who is also a lawyer indicated that: "The propagandist drafted the letter badly. Try next time" concluding the allegations were untrue and the letter as fake.

The fake letter had also mentioned Majority Leader Aden Bare Duale, Kimani Ichung'wa (Kikuyu MP), and Oscar Sudi (Kapsaret MP) as persons of interest.
Some glaring typos were remarkably evident including an error on the part of EACC Chief Executive Officer Halakhe D. Waqo whose name had been spelt as "Wago".
There has been a public outcry in the past seeking to have "big fish" implicated in the recent multi-billion National Youth Service (NYS) and National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) scandals.
Murkomen has however in the past come forward expressing his disappointment with the NCPB noting that like many other maize farmers, he is yet to receive payment for the maize he delivered to the board.
The legislator had also declared that he will never again plant maize following the recent scandal at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).
"Six months ago I delivered my maize to NCPB. Until now I haven’t been paid. From next year I won’t plant maize again," Murkomen quipped.
"I have no contract with anyone to feed him/her with Ugali. I am moving to avocados. It’s time for the farmer in me to think profit first," added the lawmaker.

Murkomen on Friday shared a newspaper cover whose headline indicated that avocado would take over tea and coffee as a cash crop likely hinting his plan to join avocado following the maize scandal.
