Nine students, a teacher and a bus driver were on Tuesday arrested and arraigned in court on charges of being drunk and disorderly.
The students and members of staff from Tala Academy, Machakos County, allegedly connived to acquire liquor illegally and proceeded to indulge while on a scheduled school function.
The 11 were arrested while they made their way to the Sarakasi Dome in Ngara, Nairobi County, where they were scheduled to watch plays based on their curriculum set books.
Arresting officers confirmed that breathalyzer tests conducted on the minors tested positive for alcohol and that all students were inebriated.

The four girls and five boys are said to have contributed money to purchase several 750 ml bottles of whiskey which they downed while on the bus to Nairobi.
The suspects were all arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts where the students did not take a plea as their ages had not been determined.
The students were, however, detained and were set to appear at the children’s court on Wednesday, June, 13.
Public outrage has recently been directed at school managers over the prevalence of incidents of defilement and rape.
700 girls from Maasai Girls Secondary School on Tuesday staged protests claiming harassment from a male teacher.
Principal Rose Oteko confirmed that the girls' concerns were valid, noting: "It is true that there was a sexual harassment case by a male teacher at the school.
"On Monday, our quality assurance officers started the investigations and I cannot pre-empt the progress of investigations," she stated.
