Sources within the Deputy President's office have revealed 11 most influential people in DP William Ruto's closely knit kitchen cabinet.
According to them, the new set of close political advisers, who are claimed to be meeting regularly to strategise and execute the DP's political moves, is made up of only one woman.
Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, who has been close to the DP since her days as Nakuru County Speaker, is reported to have great influence in the team as she assists Senator Kipchumba Murkomen in the Senate and uses her networks in county assemblies to push for DP's issues.

The Senate Majority Leader, who has been known as one of the DP's trusted lieutenants, has the most influence on the decisions made concerning his political moves.
According to a source close to the Star, the DP likes Murkomen "because he is young, sharp and willing to take instructions."
Their relationship is reported to have thrived during the ICC trials when the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator worked closely with lawyers and others involved in defending Ruto.
The Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale is also a key person in the team as he is the center of the planning and execution of the DP's political strategies, including launching and responding to attacks from other political leaders especially from the opposition "that the DP would normally not utter himself."
Other political figures in the team include the National Assembly Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi, who according to the publication's confidential informants offers the DP with legal advice, Langata MP Nixon Korir, who is claimed to always take care of party affairs in Jubilee and any other party that the DP has interest in.
Caleb Kositany, Soy MP, is also a trusted member in the inner circle as well as Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot whose main role is to propagate and defend the DP's position in TV and radio talk shows.

Besides the political figures, other members of the team are his Private Secretary Reuben Maiyo, Spokesman David Mugonyi, his deputy Emmanuel Tallam and Personal Assistant Farouk Kibet to execute his official and political undertakings.
Additionally, the group is reported to always review Ruto's weekend activities and plans ahead for him as well as manage his parliamentary agenda.
Sources also revealed that the DP rarely meets all of them at the same time.
"These people separately meet the DP almost on a daily basis and the DP has a lot of time for them,” affirmed the source in Ruto’s office.
