How Joho Saved Ommy Dimpoz’s Life

Renowned Tanzania musician, Ommy Dimpoz has thanked Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho for saving his life.

The musician who has been silent for a period of time came out to reveal that the music hiatus was a result of undergoing a delicate throat surgery.

He has been recovering in Sandton, South Africa for the last two months since undergoing the throat surgery.

In an interview, the Hello Baby hitmaker noted that he had a problem swallowing foods and drinks during Alikiba’s wedding in April in Mombasa.

“Governor Joho noticed that I was having problems swallowing food during Alikiba’s wedding in Mombasa.

“I could barely swallow anything. He offered to take me to his personal doctors for a checkup,” the superstar recalled.

After a diagnosis, Joho’s doctors discovered that his condition was very serious and instructed him to fly to South Africa for specialized treatment.

He intimated that before the surgery he was informed how dangerous it was and he wasn’t sure whether he would come out of it alive.

Despite the operation being successful, it left him in a 9-day coma.

“When I woke up, I was informed I had been into a coma for nine days. It was a major operation all the way down to my stomach and I thank God I am alive. I’m also very grateful to Governor Joho and Alikiba,” Ommy stated.

In a recent interview, Dimpoz’s manager Seven Mosha revealed that he is recuperating well and he is yet to travel back to Tanzania.
