Citizen TV anchor Jeff Koinange was on Sunday on the receiving end of the fury of anticipating Kenyans after his much-hyped Mau feature failed to air on Sunday Live.
Reports indicate that the audio format that the video was exported with was not compatible with the new state of the art system that the rebranded station runs on.
The celebrated journalist took to Twitter to apologize for the mishap confirming that the feature experienced some technical difficulties.
"Folks, apologies for the Mau Story! A slight technical hitch but we promise to air the story tomorrow night!" he tweeted on Sunday.

Many Kenyans who were anticipating the Mau story expressed their disappointment online.
"I knew kuna swara leo (I knew there is a bad omen today) from the start. Honestly, you looked unprepared from the way the duo presented news to us today. You really underscored today. I give you 4/10. Boring!" one user quipped.
"Lazima Luna ka call kaliingia before wasome news (There's must have been a high profile phone call that came in before they went on ar)," another user insinuated that maybe the feature did not air following orders from above.
One Kenyan agreed stating,"Cartels at play, high probability, kitaeleweka tu.... Kesho ni siku (we will know tomorrow)."
"I knew this! You can't hype #SundayLive like that Jeff then come up with a flimsy excuse of a technical hitch...of all the stations, Citizen TV! Which has poached big wigs from other media stations in Kenya? Just loan one big shot to k24TV and buy a technical hitch solver then," one user suggested.
Others were of the contrary opinion opting to trust Jeff and his reporting.
"We trust you big man, I can't wait for tomorrow, any story by you, is always epic! Keep up the good work @KoinangeJeff you are making Kenya better each day!" one commented.
