He announced that he was heading to the forest with the two politicians to see the extent of the destruction for themselves.
Many users online complemented the journalist for his ingenuity and determination to get information straight from the sources.
"I love this. @KoinangeJeff @IsaacRutoGov @ledamalekina. This is great guys. News from the source," one user noted.
"Good move. Get the facts and let the whole world know who is for and against Environmental conservation," another commented.
The politics around the Mau complex has become a hot-button issue with the renewed efforts to evict people living in the forest.
Ledama who has been vocal in support of the evictions stated that he had reached out to Egypt calling for the nation's support in the conservation of Mau Forest.
"We'll seek their support to kick people out of Mau to save the Nile...invaders are depleting the waters," he elucidated that the Mau was the main water tower feeding Lake Victoria which is the main source of the River Nile.

He further added that the cut line (the Nyayo Tea Zones) was abetting corruption as it was an illegality.
"I totally disagree with Ruto - there is nothing like a cutline! The entire Mau complex is comprised of 23 blocks - the blocks that are in context heavily encroached right now are three," Ledama faulted Ruto.
