Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has revealed how much it cost to repair his posh Runda residence after a government raid in March.
According to an affidavit filed in court, Miguna claims to have used Ksh 274,000 to repair and redecorate his home.
This was supported by court documents filed by his lawyer Dr. John Khaminwa on Monday.
The outspoken lawyer alleged the money was used as payment to an interior designer for the renovation.
His house was raided by state officers on February 2, 2018, before his subsequent arrested.
The designer Edgar Monsey Oriedo indicated that on inspection of the home, he saw glass pieces scattered all over inside and outside and the window panes to the main door broken.
He further stated that the bedroom door and locks were irreparably damaged and the staircase windows shattered.
Oriedo reported that he repaired the steel door with glass panes, the bedroom doors, kitchen window panes, toilet window panes, verandah lamps, door locks, padlocks and repainting.
Recently, Miguna who is currently in Canada stated that he would return to the country after September 4.
The former Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate was deported on March 26 after he failed to provide his passport for inspection at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
