President Uhuru, DP William Ruto Confer on Salvation at Joseph Kamaru's Burial

Kenya's high and might on Thursday converged at Muthithi Primary school in Murang'a county for the burial of Benga music legend Joseph Kamaru.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga were among senior government officials and politicians who paid their last respect to the Kikuyu singer celebrating his over 2000-hits career.

Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a led the requiem mass with his style of ministry, delivering a summon that touched President Kenyatta and DP Ruto. He left the two wondering whether they would make it and enter heaven's doors after the judgement day.

At the time the preacher was speaking about salvation and going to heaven, the two leaders discussed whether their way of life would let them gain entry to heaven.

In his speech, DP Ruto revealed that the preacher made him and the president relook into their person, wondering whether they'll make it to the Holy Kingdom.

"Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a ametutia wasiwasi sana na hiyo story ya mbinguni. Hata mimi na Rais tukaulizana kama tutaenda ama tutaachwa (Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a has left us worried about the subject on going to heaven. The President and I questioned each other on whether we will go to heaven, or maybe we will be left behind)," revealed DP Ruto.

He described Kamaru as a true legend who did the best and mentored many during his music career, an attribute he challenged leaders to emulate.

The President similarly made reference to the preacher's message saying he had told Ruto that he knew some of the reasons why he(DP Ruto) might fail to see heaven.

"Wakati mahubiri yalikua yakiendelea, nakaambia William naona kuna kitu itakuzuia uingie huku, na yeye akaniambia pia anaona kitu itanizuia, sasa tukaamua tubadilike ndio tuiingie mbinguni.

(During the mass, I told William that I could see what might deny him entry (to heaven, he also told me he sees what can block me as well and we agreed to change our ways)," the President stated.

He roped in the former Prime Minister's counsel on the journey (going to heaven) noting they had no option but abandon the clear road and take the thorny and rough path to the heavenly home.

The president extended a State House courtesy to the late Kamaru's musician friends, inviting them for a sitdown.
